YEAR 2 SATs 2018

In the summer term 2016, new style the national curriculum tests (also known as SATs) changed in both Key Stages 1 and Key Stage 2 to reflect the changes to the National Curriculum, which were introduced in September 2014. The national curriculum test outcomes are now reported as scaled scores instead of levels.


At the end of Year 2, children will take SATs in:

  • Reading
  • English grammar, punctuation and spelling
  • Maths


When will the Key Stage 1 SATs take place?

The Key Stage 1 tests do not have set days for administration, but schools must administer them during the month of May 2018. 




Information Evening for Parents - Year 2 SATs



In the Summer term of 2016, children in Year 2 and Year 6 were the first to take the new SATs papers. These tests in English and maths reflect the new National Curriculum, and are intended to be more rigorous. 


​At the end of Year 6, children will sit tests in:

  • Reading
  • Maths
  • Spelling, punctuation and grammar
When will the Key Stage 2 SATs take place?

SATs Tests for Year 6 pupils will take place between Monday 14th May and Thursday 17th May 2018.
