British Value - Respect and Tolerance

  • To understand that we all don’t share the same beliefs and values.
  • To respect the values, ideas and beliefs of others whilst not imposing our own others.
  • To understand the importance of religion, traditions, cultural heritage and preferences.

Today is the beginning of Chinese New Year. I would like you to listen to the information and story below and think about the following questions:

  • Are there any similarities and/or differences between Chinese New Year and the New Year tradition that you celebrate?
  • What is something that you like about Chinese New Year?
  • Does everyone have to have the same traditions or celebrations? Why?
