St. John's P.T.F.A.

St John's P.T.F.A.

We are pleased to announce that the Governors, with Mrs McManus, have given us the go ahead to form a new P.T.F.A. (Parents, Teachers & Friends Association). In order to do this we are required to start with an A.G.M. to vote in at least the 3 key roles of a Chair, Secretary and Treasurer.

The A.G.M. is on Tuesday 11th February at 5 pm in the school hall.

All parents, teachers and friends (grandparents or others with close links with children currently attending St John's) are invited to attend and participate in voting in the roles and being involved in plans for the P.T.F.A. We have had an informal meeting with some expressions of interest in various roles. We are aware that many could not attend this meeting.

The P.T.F.A. meetings are for adults only as we’re sure that it can be appreciated that it can be distracting to listen to information when young children are around.  The meeting will formally begin at 5:15 pm and will be finished by 6 pm.

On the website (Home> Parents>St. John’s P.T.F.A) you will find documents for registering your expressions of interest in taking on a role as well as a guide to the committee and role descriptions. Please return an expression of interest form to the school office by Friday 7th February. We are especially keen for someone in the treasure role with relevant skills.
