Thursday 4th March
Good Morning Class 4!
Happy World Book Day!
Stay in your PJ's, snuggle up somewhere cosy and lose yourself in your favourite book.
Happy reading! Ask a grown-up to take a photo of you 'getting lost in a book' and send it on Class Dojo or post on Twitter.
Tune in at 10:30 am to enjoy a World Book Day Share a Story live session.
Today it is 'Words and Pictures: Bringing Books to Life'.
Tune in at 11:30am for a BBC live session.
This 30-minute Live Lesson, hosted by CBBC's Ben Shires and Bitesize Daily's Mr Smith and tied into key curriculum objectives for Key Stage 2, will be live on BBC Teach and on the CBBC channel on the morning of 4th March 2021 at 11:30am.
We'll be learning all about themes in stories and how to identify them, hearing about the stories you've been reading and some of your favourite themes, and meeting some of the incredible people that write about them.
To wrap up the Live Lesson, we'll also be holding a live question and answer session with comedian and author of the Little Badman series, Humza Arshad.
Rob Biddulph is the official World Book Day illustrator.
Follow his step by step videos to learn how to draw your own illustrations.
Choose one of his videos to follow and enjoy creating!
Below are some other fun activities you may wish to do to celebrate World Book Day.
Remember, you don't have to do them all!
