Uniform

Our uniform can be purchased from Paul’s Place: 272, Stanley Road, Bootle (tel: 0151 922 2472)

School book bags are available from the School Office as well as Paul’s Place

Non-branded cardigans and sweat shirts are acceptable.

We provide all Year 3 children with their first school tie.

Autumn & Spring Terms

Reception & Key Stage 1  (Infants):

Key Stage 2 (Juniors):

  • White polo shirt
  • White shirt
  • Purple crew neck sweatshirt

or cardigan ( school logo or plain)

  • Purple crew neck sweatshirt

or cardigan ( school logo or plain)

  • St John’s CE Primary School tie

Whole school:

  • Grey uniform-style trousers (long or short), skirt or pinafore.  NO LEGGINGS
  • Grey socks with trousers
  • White or grey knee length socks or tights with skirts & pinafores
  • Black shoes - Sensible, flat shoes of a safe design that the children can take off and put on and fasten by themselves.

Summer Term - Infants & Juniors (Optional)

  • Grey uniform-style trousers (short)
  • Purple & white gingham or striped summer dresses
  • Grey socks with trousers
  • White ankle or knee length socks
  • Black, white or dark blue sandals

 

PE KIT  - Infants & Juniors

  • White t-shirt with St John’s logo or plain white t-shirt – must be free from any logo or brand name, apart from the school logo
  • Trainers must be plain black or plain white and must ONLY be worn on the allocated PE day
  • Plain black shorts
  • Plain black or navy jogging bottoms - free from any logo or brand name
  • School cardigan or school sweatshirt (St. John’s Logo or plain purple)
  • When pupils attend an after-sports school club or are involved in representing the school in a sports activity, PE kits must be brought to school for pupils to get changed in school.
  • Earrings must be removed before school, or pupils must be able to remove themselves.

 

Children will have a set P.E. day (to be confirmed by the class teacher) and should arrive at school in their kit.

 

However, PE kits must be brought to school to change into if children are taking part in a sports activity that is not on their allocated PE day, e.g. extracurricular club or competition.

 

Swimming Kit:

  • Trunks (no swimming shorts)
  • or one-piece swimming costume
  • swimming cap
  • No jewellery.

IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Sensible, flat shoes of a safe design that the children can take off and put on and can fasten by themselves. 

 

Fashion shoes, boots and training shoes are not suitable shoes.  Trainers are NOT permitted to be worn as part of the school uniform.

 

Hair accessories: Please ensure these are in keeping with the school colours: purple, grey and/or white.  Hair accessories should not be oversized.

 

Jewellery is not permitted.  Children may wear small stud earrings HOWEVER these must be removed for PE and swimming.

 

Children must NOT wear makeup or nail varnish. This includes any false nails or  shellac, acrylic or Build-in-a-bottle (BIAB) nails or similar.

 

BAGS:  Rucksacks are not permitted.  Only approved book bags measuring approximately       38.5cm   x 28cm will fit in the children’s trays; briefcase style bags are not acceptable.

Numerous attachments such as key rings will not fit into the trays.

 

ALL UNIFORM MUST BE CLEARLY LABELLED
