Ethos Committee

School Ethos Committee

The children elected for our school Ethos Committee know they are role models for other children and, as such, strive to consistently demonstrate our Christian Values of love, friendship, courage, trust, respect, compassion, and perseverance.

The Ethos Committee has an important role in our school. In Reception and Year 1,  our younger Ethos members help in their class, for example, lighting the candles for class-based worship, tidying and helping with the class reflection area, and saying or helping to compose the prayer for class-based worship.

The committee members in Years 2 - 6 meet each Wednesday at lunchtime. They help to find ways to promote our Christian vision and values across the school. They also work together to follow the teaching of Jesus to 'Love your neighbour as yourself' (Luke 10:17) by raising awareness of important issues and finding ways to help people in need.

Our Ethos Committee collected donations across the school to support Ukrainian refugees.
