School Nurse

Measles:

Measles spreads very easily among those who are unvaccinated, especially in nurseries and schools. The best protection against measles for children and adults is to get both doses of the MMR vaccine. It is never too late to have these vaccinations.

The NHS also has the following advice for parents on measles.  Please see below:

Does your Child need Healthcare this Winter?

School Health Team South - Sefton – Please see the attached flyer for full details. The team are now available for advice or support via video calling rather than face-to-face meetings with parents. The next scheduled meeting is: 8 November 2023 9:30am - 12:30 pm.

Message from Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust:

School based immunisations are currently in the process of developing an E-Consent option.   The E-Consent will also be supported with paper consent for families who have limited access to digital resources to ensure equitability.

E- Consent is environmentally friendly and will provide greater reassurance with regards to infection control measures whilst in this pandemic; it is also a step towards bringing the service in line with both the NHS digital and 5 year plan.
